Review | Day 21 by Kass Morgan

She’d just saved hundreds of lives—and drastically shortened hundreds more. Including their own.

No one has set foot on Earth in centuries -- until now.
It's been 21 days since the hundred landed on Earth. They're the only humans to set foot on the planet in centuries...or so they thought. Facing an unknown enemy, Wells attempts to keep the group together. Clarke strikes out for Mount Weather, in search of other Colonists, while Bellamy is determined to rescue his sister, no matter the cost. And back on the ship, Glass faces an unthinkable choice between the love of her life and life itself.

In this pulse-pounding sequel to Kass Morgan's The 100, secrets are revealed, beliefs are challenged, and relationships are tested. And the hundred will struggle to survive the only way they can -- together.

ARC received via Netgalley in exchange of an honest review but it didn’t affect my opinion about this book.

Twenty-one days had passed since Clarke and the hundred were sent down the earth. Based on her parents’ experiment, the symptoms of radiation poisoning should manifest during this time. With Earthborns trying to threaten their lives, the hundred are doing their best to survive.

Meanwhile, oxygen is running out in the Colony and drastic decision has to be made. For the first time in three centuries, humans are going back to the earth.

Gaaah, I know I made a crappy summary. Anyway, I still didn’t like book two.

The flashbacks in almost each chapter were really unnecessary. I got that the author wanted us to see how these four characters’ lives were connected but there might have been a better way to show it because the flashbacks were making a good job in dragging the whole story.

And Clarke...gosh. I still didn’t understand her. Whenever she and Bellamy would encounter a problem, she would immediately run in Wells’s arms. What the heck was up with her?

Also, I had noticed that whenever the guys in this story find out that their girlfriends did something awful to their loved ones (Luke found out that Glass said that his best friend was the father of her child which led to the execution of his best friend and Clarke killed Bellamy’s first love), they would walk out. Then come back a few pages later without much fuss.

A big bomb was dropped too. Not much happened in this book except for the progresses in love and the impending arrivals of humans from the Colony. Wells was with Sascha and there was a potential for Octavia and Graham.
