Teaser Tuesdays is a weekly bookish meme, hosted by MizB of A Daily Rhythm. Anyone can play along! Just do the following:
• Grab your current read
• Open to a random page
• Share two (2) “teaser” sentences from somewhere on that page
• BE CAREFUL NOT TO INCLUDE SPOILERS! (make sure that what you share doesn’t give too much away! You don’t want to ruin the book for others!)
• Share the title & author, too, so that other TT participants can add the book to their TBR Lists if they like your teasers!
MY TEASERS:
“Anthony, I don't need a gift. I wanted to make you proud. If I did that, then I'm happy and that's enough.
— Consequences by Aleatha Romig
I like the plot and the hero, even if he's a psychopath but not the heroine. She was just too...weak. I wanted to see her fight, not obey him right away without trying to defy him. I wanted to see her slowly break, not fall in love with him right away.

Sounds like she did, but gifts are always nice.

I hate the fact that she's doing it to please him though.
DeleteYour description of the guy sounds more like a villain! She'll learn - that tag on the cover is hopeful!
DeleteShe'll learn. But I think she'll get her revenge on the next book or something.
DeleteI have a problem with stories where the heroine falls in love with the hero too quickly (or jumps into bed with him immediately!)
ReplyDeleteMy Tuesday post features ELIZABETH’S LANDING.
I agree with you. :D
