— The Decaying Empire by Laura Thalassa

I still don't know what to feel about this book. The romance is over the top and it overshadows the action the book has. And it is disappointing since this is the first YA book (if you could still call it that with all the sex happening) that I've read in a long time.

You know, Brandon wouldn't be facing this dilemma if only he respected his sister's privacy. I mean, who lets other people touch their sibling's laptop? Especially when you know that she uses that laptop for work-related stuff. It might seem like a small matter at first, but look where it got him now. Poor Brandon is going to learn his lesson the hard way.

I rarely read YA dystopian novels. If I do, it's because my friends who have the same tastes as I or knows me recommend them to me. A lot of my friends raved about this series and I thought, “Hey, why not? Let's give it a try.” Suffice to say, Penryn and the End of Days has become one of my favorite YA books of all time.

For a YA dystopian novel, there wasn't much romance which I found good because when your race is on the verge of being completely annihilated by angels, kissing and the romantic stuff can wait. This series was terrifying because of how graphic everything was and the heroine wasn't annoying at all. Add her banter with the sexy af archangel, everything was perfect.

I've been waiting for this book for months already only to end up disappointed. In the final book, for some unknown reason, the main characters suddenly have trouble controlling their sexual urges. In the first two books, the characters rarely interact romantically but now they kiss a lot even in the middle of saving people. It felt like the romantic elements in the story were crammed in here to the point that it sometimes annoyed because they were still trying to save the world.

This is a very odd reason for becoming a vegan. And I admit, I did a double take because I really thought that the heroine's reason of become a vegetarian was because of her mom or something about animal cruelty, not this. I think I'm going to end up liking the story after all.

 — Consequences by Aleatha Romig

I like the plot and the hero, even if he's a psychopath but not the heroine. She was just too...weak. I wanted to see her fight, not obey him right away without trying to defy him. I wanted to see her slowly break, not fall in love with him right away.

 — Hate Fuck (Part Three) by Ainsley Booth

I was disappointed with this book. I loved the first two parts but for some mysterious reason, the characters changed in part three. The characters I read from the first part were different from part three. And I actually fell out of love from the hero.

 — Beautiful Secret by Christina Lauren

It started out okay but as it progressed, I found myself not enjoying the story so much because of the characters.
